In the Beginning...

"Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14

Today was our first day of our VBS and it was AMAZING! We had 140 kids show up which is one of the biggest, if not the biggest turnout on the first day of camp for Calvary Chapel Dublin. The morning began with prayer and worship at the community center before the team set up for the day ahead!

Our VBS kicks off with worship accompanied by hand motions followed by 3 stations: teaching, craft, and activity. The Lord has provided in abundance, both from our team at CCEA as well as through helpers from CCD. With 140 kids, it could have been overwhelming, but the Lord showed us grace by giving us a pretty calm day. The theme of our VBS is "Passport to Jesus" and today we taught out of Psalm 139 as the kids learned that "Jesus is Creator."

The kids seemed to absolutely love the camp and we are praying that more would come tomorrow! These kids absolutely need prayer that those who don't know the Lord, and almost all of them do not, would have their hearts softened and prepared to not only hear the Gospel, but receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

Following the VBS we went to Castletown and visited a manor which was spectacular. On top of that, we seemed to bring some of our weather with us as it was in the mid 80s today with not a cloud in the sky!

Our evening ended with a child protection training seminar, pizza, and a really sweet devotional by Patty out on the property where we are staying! It was so warm, that we were even able to have our devotional outside at 830 PM! The sun doesn't set here until around 1030, which didn't help the jet lag...but it was such a blessing to be able to see the sun all day today!

That's all for today, but we can't wait to share what the Lord does in and through our team tomorrow!

All our love,

Mission Ireland
